Saturday Morning's in Savannah
Meals With A Mission was launched in September 2025 as a God breathed assignment born from the heart of compassion and the call of Heaven. What began as a simple vision to feed the hungry has grown into a movement of restoration and hope for the streets of Savannah, Georgia. This ministry was not created from human ambition but from divine instruction as a clear response to the Spirit’s call to love the forgotten and meet the needs of the least among us.
Rooted deeply in the words of Jesus Christ in Matthew 25:35-40, we carry this mandate as our banner: “For I was hungry and you gave Me food, I was thirsty and you gave Me drink, I was a stranger and you took Me in.” Every act of service, every sandwich prepared, and every prayer spoken is done with the awareness that when we serve the hungry, we are serving Christ Himself. Meals With A Mission stands as a living reflection of this scripture through feeding bodies, healing hearts, and restoring dignity to those who have been cast aside.
Each week, our team assembles bagged lunches containing a freshly prepared sandwich, chips, two side items, and a bottled water. It may seem simple, but each meal is more than food, it’s a message. Every bag carries the weight of love, the fragrance of compassion, and the touch of the Kingdom. As these meals are handed out, we also offer prayer, encouragement, and personal conversation to remind every individual that they are seen, valued, and loved by God.
Our outreach currently serves those in Wells Park and Thomas Square Park which are all locations known not only for their beauty and history, but also for their deep challenges. These are areas often marked by gun violence, drug activity, and gang presence, yet they are also home to souls longing for peace and purpose. Many avoid these parks, but we have been called to them. We believe that Kingdom light belongs exactly where darkness has tried to settle.
Meals With A Mission moves into these spaces not with fear but with faith. We walk the grounds that others label “unsafe” and declare them redeemed. We refuse to let violence and despair have the final word over our city. By showing up consistently and serving faithfully we confront chaos with compassion, fear with faith, and hatred with love. Each outreach becomes a declaration that Savannah’s inner city still belongs to God.

Our team operates with a clear conviction that the Gospel must be seen before it can be heard. When someone receives a meal from us, they are not just receiving food, but they are receiving a tangible expression of the love of Christ. They encounter hope in human form. The smile, the prayer, the conversation...all of it works together to build bridges between heaven and earth right there in the park.
Through this simple yet powerful act of service we have witnessed the beginning of transformation. Men and women once hardened by survival are opening up to prayer. Those once addicted are asking for change. People who had lost all sense of worth are finding purpose again. We have seen laughter replace fear, unity replace tension, and the Spirit of God move powerfully in places the world had written off as lost.
Meals With A Mission is not simply a feeding ministry, it is an apostolic outreach designed to reclaim territory for the Kingdom of God. We understand that true transformation does not start in boardrooms or buildings, but in the streets where pain resides. We bring more than food. We bring divine confrontation, love that challenges darkness, and light that refuses to be extinguished. Every meal is a prophetic act declaring, “Jesus still walks these streets.”
Our vision is to see Savannah’s most broken places restored. We dream of parks once known for crime becoming sanctuaries of peace and prayer. We believe that the same neighborhoods once gripped by violence will soon echo with worship and testimony. As this work continues, we see a city being transformed one meal, one conversation, and one soul at a time.
Through every outreach, we remain anchored in our central truth: this is the Kingdom of God in motion. We do not serve for recognition or applause. We serve because Heaven commanded it. Each sandwich is a seed of revival. Each bottle of water is a stream of grace. And each person we encounter is a life worthy of the love of Christ. With boldness and unwavering faith, Meals With A Mission declares over Savannah the Kingdom of God reigns here, and the streets belong to the King.
